Glasgow Police Museum Re-Opened on Monday 20 July 2020
The Glasgow Police Museum re-opened to visitors on Monday 20 July 2020. Visitors can come along to the museum, there is no need to book in advance.
Unfortunately, booking for group tours by organisations are temporarily suspended until further notice.
New precautions and procedures are now in place to provide safety and reassurance when visiting our award winning museum.
Due to the layout of the museum:
(A) ALL VISITORS AND STAFF MUST WEAR FACE COVERINGS
(B) MAXIMUM GROUPS OF 4 PERSONS (INCL. CHILDREN) FROM THE SAME FAMILY OR GROUP WILL BE ADMITTED TO THE ONE-WAY SYSTEM TO MOVE AROUND THE EXHIBITION AREAS IN TURN WITH OTHER GROUPS
(C) THE MUSEUM LAYOUT HAS BEEN DESIGNATED INTO TEN ZONES TO AID SOCIAL DISTANCING
(D) HAND SANITISING STATIONS ARE POSITIONED FOR VISITORS ENTERING THE MUSEUM AND EXITING.
(E) A CONTACTLESS CARD MACHINE HAS BEEN INSTALLED TO ALLOW VISITORS TO SAFELY AND SIMPLY PURCHASE SOUVENIRS AND MAKE DONATIONS TO ENSURE THE SURVIVAL OF THE MUSEUM
(F) THE ‘TEST & PROTECT’ PROCESS WILL BE IN OPERATION. CONTACT DETAILS OF VISITORS WILL BE NOTED IN LINE WITH GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES – DETAILS KEPT FOR 21 DAYS THEN DESTROYED.
Our new procedures and precautions are to a high standard and we have been awarded the ‘We’re Good To Go’ Industry Standard by VisitScotland.
