Children’s Competitions

WE ARE HAPPY TO TELL YOU THAT THE CHILDREN’S COMPETITIONS ARE AVAILABLE.

PENCILS AND CLIPBOARDS ARE STERILISED WITH ANTI-BACTERIAL WIPES BEFORE USE.

COME ALONG AND TAKE PART – YOU COULD WIN A JUNIOR DETECTIVE AWARD CERTIFICATE!

Children visiting the Museum are offered the opportunity to take part in one of  two competitions, dependent on their age.

(Note: In the interest of child safety, these competitions are NOT available during festivals etc where large numbers of visitors will be in the museum.)

Lego Manhunt (up to 8 years of age):

Eleven Lego figures (either cops or robbers) are hidden among the displays of the Historical Room, each with their own adjacent number.

The Children are given an illustrated page showing all the hidden figures, each with a box adjacent to the figure illustration.

They are asked to find each Lego figure, match the figure to the appropriate illustration and insert the correct figure’s number in the box provided.

Get all eleven figures/numbers correctly and they are each given a ‘Glasgow Police Museum – Junior Detective Award’ Certificate.

Museum Quiz (9 years of age and upwards):

The  Children are given an illustrated page of questions, the answers to which are contained in the displays and text boards in the Historical Room, generally in date order.

They are asked to answer each question  utilising the photo clue adjacent to several of the questions to assist them.

Answer all the questions correctly and they are each given a ‘Glasgow Police Museum – Junior Detective Award’ Certificate.
