The Blue Light Festival – Riverside Museum, Glasgow
Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd September 2018The Glasgow Police Museum, for the first time, had a stall at the 2018 Blue Light Festival, held at the Riverside Museum.
Our stall had examples of historical and International Police artefacts which many visitors to the event found interesting. There was a wide range of police batons and handcuffs dating from the Victorian era up to the present day. A mannequin with the uniform of the Glasgow Police during the Second World War and a variety of police headgear completed the historical display. Examples of International police hats and a uniform of the Kazakhstan Police were also on display. A laptop with slide-show of the museum continued throughout the event.
Approximately 800 visitors, mainly from the Greater Glasgow area, viewed our stall and took away brochures intending to visit the museum in the future.
