Glasgow Police Museum – ‘Museum of the Year 2024!

On Thursday 5 September 2024, it was announced that our Glasgow Police Museum had won the ‘Museum of the Year’ under the City of Glasgow Awards scheme. This is our second such award having won in 2019.

Having been selected as a ‘Finalist’ in the Award since we were informed on 27 May 2024, our visitors have been voting for us via the organisation website. There were another 10 museums shortlisted for the Final including Kelvingrove, Burrell Collection, Scottish Football Museum and the Riverside Museum.

We are particularly proud that the dedication of our staff has been acknowledged by winning this accolade, which demonstrates their hard work, dedication, and outstanding contribution to Glasgow’s museum sector.
