Historical Talks and Museum Tours

Historical Talks:

An illustrated talk entitled ‘The History of the Glasgow Police’ is available after 1 September 2022 for Retirement Groups, Church Groups, and other Social Groups (minimum of 15 persons) who meet in the evenings or during the daytime.

The illustrated Powerpoint presentation (50 minutes + questions) is delivered by the Museum Curator, Alastair Dinsmor, who can bring the necessary projection equipment.

As they are dependent on the Curator’s own availability, plenty of notice is required and should only be arranged by email: [email protected].

A suitable donation to the Museum funds + travel expenses will be agreed at time of booking.

Museum Tours:

Tours of the Museum, which last approximately 1 hour 45 minutes, are available for Retirement Groups, Church Groups, and other Social Groups outwith Museum hours in the evenings or during the daytime.  Due to the layout of the Museum, group tours are restricted to 20 persons at any one time with a minimum number of 12 persons for viability reasons.

As they are dependent on the Curator’s own availability, plenty of notice is required and should only be arranged by email: [email protected].

A suitable donation to the Museum funds + travel expenses will be agreed at time of booking, particularly for evening tours where the Museum is opened for the exclusive use of the Group.
